In this tutorial Usenet Collector configure Windows. We’re going to configure Usenet Collector to download from the newsgroups. Posted on the Usenet Collector platform.
The first time you start Usenet Collector, you’ll get a notification. That no settings have yet been found.
When Usenet Collector is started. Then you go to Settings.
If you double-click the name you see. Then you can adjust it. I would do this because by default the name of your computer is used. This one can be seen very well if you leave a comment on Usenet Collector.
Change the name to your desired name. And press OK.
Go to the Overviewtab .
Turn on the following two check marks here.
- Update database after startup.
We now go to the Download Servertab.
Click Server List. Select the news server you’re using here. And click Ok.
You now get the screen above. You have to fill in the user data here, from your Usenet provider. This login can often be found in the welcome email from your Usenet provider. And look differently on the website to reapply the password.
Then click OK.
All missing data from your Usenet provider will now be filled in.
If your Usenet provider is not in the middle. Then you will have to fill in this information yourself. This information can often be found on the website of your Usenet provider. Usually the server address is similar to the Header and upload server.
Click Applynow . And then OK.
Download with Usenet Collector
Now, on the left, click Update.
Now it might take a while. Before you see anything appear.
Click display all posts.
You won’t see a bucket bar. In the background, the spots are picked up. This could take a while.
On the left side you see a menu. Choose what you want to download and press the greens arrow. You can now download the nzb file. And import these into your Usenet download program. So like for example NZBGet or SABZnbd.
