In this install SpotWeb Docker Synology. Let’s install SpotWeb on a Synology system via Docker. <\/p>\n\n

SpotWeb is a website connected to the SpotWeb network. If someone here has added something to this SpotNet network, you can download the nzb file. You can also set SpotWeb as a Newznab server, so you can automatically download from the newsgroups.<\/p>\n\n

Install Docker for SpotWeb<\/h2>\n\n

If you have not yet installed the Docker program on your Synology. Then you have to install it first.<\/p>\n\n

Open your Synology’s page.<\/p>\n\n

Go to the Packe center.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Go to the All Packages<\/strong> tab. Now search for Docker. And then click Install<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Network Bridge Create SpotWeb<\/h2>\n\n

Now open docker<\/p>\n\n

Go to Network<\/strong> and then Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

It is best to copy the above information, then this tutorial is easier to follow.<\/p>\n\n

You must create a network bridge otherwise you may run into problems with SpotWeb’s default port 80.<\/p>\n\n

Install MariaDB for SpotWeb Docker<\/h2>\n\n

We need a database to store SpotWeb’s data. We therefore first need to install MariaDb for SpotWeb.<\/p>\n\n

Click on the icon above<\/strong> on the left.<\/p>\n\n

Type Docker<\/strong>. And open Docker.<\/p>\n\n

Go to Container<\/strong>. Click Create<\/strong>. Then Add<\/strong>. Then click Add from URL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Enter the following url https:\/\/hub.docker.com\/_\/mariadb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\"Install<\/figure>\n\n

Select latest<\/strong>. And then Select<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

\"SpotWeb<\/figure>\n\n

Go to Image. Select MariaDB<\/strong> , and click Start<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

\"Select<\/figure>\n\n

Select Bridge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Then Next<\/strong>. Do not use the Use the same network as the Docker host option. You cannot then change the port of SpotWeb. And this is standard 80 which often gives a conflict.<\/p>\n\n

Turn on Auto restart<\/strong> here. So that the database is started when you start your Synology.<\/p>\n\n

Go to Advanced Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Click on add<\/strong>, and add the values below.<\/p>\n\n

MYSQL_ROOT_PASSWORD<\/td>This is the main database password. You probably never need this one.<\/td><\/tr>
TZ<\/td>
This is the time zone for the Netherlands, this is Europe\/Amsterdam<\/strong>. If you live in a different time zone, see https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_tz_database_time_zones<\/a><\/td><\/tr>
MYSQL_DATABASE<\/td>The name of the database, for example, spotweb<\/td><\/tr>
MYSQL_USER<\/td>the username to log in to the database<\/td><\/tr>
MYSQL_PASSWORD<\/td>The password for the database<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>

It is important that you save the above data somewhere. You’ll need them in a minute.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n

Click Save<\/strong>. And then Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Click Next<\/strong>again.<\/p>\n\n

Change Auto<\/strong> to 3306<\/strong>. See the screenshot above. Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Done now. You should now see it active at container.<\/p>\n\n

Install SpotWeb Docker<\/h2>\n\n

Now we can install SpotWeb on Docker Synology.<\/p>\n\n

Type Docker<\/strong>. To open Docker.<\/p>\n\n

Then go to Container<\/strong>. Click Create<\/strong>. Then Add<\/strong>. Then click Add from URL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Then enter the following url https:\/\/hub.docker.com\/r\/erikdevries\/spotweb<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Make sure Latest<\/strong> is selected. And then Select<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Go to Image and Select SpotWeb<\/strong>. And click Start<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Turn on Auto start<\/strong>. So that SpotWeb is restarted if necessary.<\/p>\n\n

Go to Advanced Settings<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

DB_USER<\/td>Your username that you used during the MariaDb installation.<\/td><\/tr>
DB_NAME<\/td>spotweb<\/td><\/tr>
DB_PASS<\/td>The password you used during the MariaDb installation.<\/td><\/tr>
DB_PORT<\/td>3306 The port you used during the MariaDb installation. <\/td><\/tr>
DB_HOST<\/td>172.17.0.1 the IP address of your network. (bridge)<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n

Add above. By clicking add. And then Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Specify port 8085<\/strong> for local and port 80<\/strong> for container. SpotWeb wants to start at 80 but this causes problems.<\/p>\n\n

Then Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

If you receive a similar message, you will have to adjust the port to, for example, 81, 81<\/p>\n\n

You should now see SpotWeb listed under Container. You now have to wait about 15 minutes for the tables to be created.<\/p>\n\n

You should find the following in the log of the SpotWeb database.<\/p>\n\n

You can now access SpotWeb via http:\/\/ip-synology:8085 please be patient it can take a while.<\/p>\n\n
