In this Installing Sonarr v4 Synology tutorial, we will install Sonarr V4 on a Synology system. In this tutorial I use DSM7. It will work approximately the same as DSM6. Only the interface looks a little different from Synology.<\/p>\n\n

In this step-by-step guide, we\u2019ll walk you through the installation process so you can easily access this powerful tool for managing your TV shows. We\u2019ll be using DSM 7, but don\u2019t worry, if you\u2019re still using DSM 6, the process is pretty much the same\u2014just the interface is a little different. <\/p>\n\n

Upgrade Sonarr V3 to SonarrV4 Synology<\/h2>\n\n

If you have installed V3 it will be upgraded to V4. V3 will be removed. It is therefore important that you first make a backup of V3.<\/p>\n\n

Log in to your Sonarr console. Go to System<\/strong>. And click Backup Now<\/strong>. And download the zip file. There should be a figure in front of it. This means that you have made a backup manually. <\/p>\n\n

Install Sonarr V4 Synology<\/h2>\n\n

If you don’t yet have the option to add synocommunity.com packges. Then you have to set that up first.<\/p>\n\n

Go to the Packe Center<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Go to Settings. Click Add<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Name:<\/strong> don’t care.<\/p>\n\n

Location:<\/strong> http:\/\/packages.synocommunity.com<\/p>\n\n

Click Ok<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Install Sonarr 4 Synology<\/h2>\n\n

Go to Communtity<\/strong> search for Sonarr v4. And then click Install<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Click Agree<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Check the box and then Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

And then Next<\/strong> again.<\/p>\n\n

Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

You can now access the Sonarr web interface at http:\/\/ip-synology:8989.<\/p>\n\n

You will then see the above screen if you have not protected Sonarr with a username and password.<\/p>\n\n

Set Authentication to Disabled for Local Addresses. Then you do not have to provide a password within your own private network.<\/p>\n\n

And provide a username and password. Click on .<\/p>\n\n

Sonarr 4 update Synology<\/h2>\n\n

Check whether you have installed the latest version of Sonarr v4. That wasn’t the case for me yet.<\/p>\n\n

Open the Sonarr web interface and then go to System<\/strong>. Select Updates<\/strong>. And if an update is available there is a blue Install Latest<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n

If there is a new update available, it is best to install it immediately so that you have the latest improvements. <\/p>\n\n
