In this tutorial, configure Bazarr on Windows. We will explain how to configure the program to automatically download subtitles for your movies and series. For this to work, you must have Radarr or Sonarr installed, because Bazarr needs to be linked to one of these programs. Without this link, Bazarr cannot search and download subtitles. <\/p>\n\n

Bazarr configure Windows<\/h2>\n\n

Open the Bazarr program in your internet browser.<\/p>\n\n

Go to General<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

I recommend that you enter your username and password here.<\/p>\n\n

Otherwise, anyone in your local network can use the Bazarr program.<\/p>\n\n

Go to Languages<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Then choose Add new profile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Select the first subtitle you want. And possibly a second language. In this example I have indicated that I want Dutch subtitles first. And English subtitles second. <\/p>\n\n

With Cutoff you indicate that the search for the desired subtitles should no longer continue.<\/p>\n\n

Click Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Under default settings you enter your profile for Series and Movies. What you just created. If you don’t do this. Then subtitles will not be searched.<\/p>\n\n

Bazarr configure subtitle providers<\/h2>\n\n

Now go to the Providers<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n\n

We are now going to add multiple subtitle providers to Bazarr. This means that the chance of finding the right subtitles will be significantly greater, because we can consult more sources at once. The more subtitle providers we use, the greater the chance of downloading the right subtitles. <\/p>\n\n

However, it is important to know that each source has its own limits on the number of subtitles you can download per day. We therefore recommend using the available downloads wisely. By taking a balanced approach, we can ensure that you always have access to the best subtitles for your favorite movies and series. <\/p>\n\n

Select OpenSubtitles.com<\/strong>. If you don’t have an account yet. Then create this first. You can do that here<\/a>. Most subtitles are found here. I therefore recommend that you always add it.<\/p>\n\n

And click Save.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

And add tvsubtitles. As the name suggests, only subtitles for TV series are found here. <\/p>\n\n

And click again Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

How to set up Sonarr for Bazarr<\/h2>\n\n

Open Sonarr<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

This one is different for everyone!<\/p>\n\n

Go to the Sonarr <\/strong>tab in the Bazarr program. And paste Sonarr’s<\/strong> API key<\/strong> here.<\/p>\n\n

Set up radarr for Bazarr<\/h2>\n\n

We are now going to link Bazarr to the Radarr program. So that the subtitles are also downloaded for your movies.<\/p>\n\n

Open Radarr <\/strong>go to Settings<\/strong>. Then for General<\/strong>. And copy here the API Key<\/strong> that is mentioned here. <\/p>\n\n

Beware! This is different for everyone.<\/p>\n\n

Now go back to Bazarr<\/strong>. And then to the Radarr tab. Paste the API Key here. And fill in the correct data from Radarr.<\/p>\n\n

And click Test<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

If the test goes well. <\/p>\n\n

Don’t forget to click Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Download subtitles with Bazarr<\/h2>\n\n

Now go to Task<\/strong>. And start all Tasks here. By clicking on the play icon<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

You only do this the first time. <\/p>\n\n

Now you have to wait until your series and movies have been added.<\/p>\n\n

Then go to Series. And click on the gear icon<\/strong> next to the series you want subtitles for.<\/p>\n\n

And select your profile that you created for your series. <\/p>\n\n

The subtitles are now searched. It may take a while for everything to download. Because there are restrictions on the websites you download the subtitles from.<\/p>\n\n
