In this tutorial Install Sonarr Qnap we will install the Sonarr program on a Qnap system, so that you can download books automatically.<\/p>\n\n

Enabling SSH on your QNAP system<\/h2>\n\n

Before you can proceed, it is important to check if SSH has already been enabled on your QNAP system. If SSH is not enabled, you will need to do so first. This step is essential for installing Sonarr.<\/p>\n\n

Have you already activated SSH? Then you can proceed directly to the next step. <\/p>\n\n

Navigate to the web interface of your QNAP system. You can do this by entering the IP address of your QNAP into the address bar of your browser. From there, you can easily manage settings and configure your system. <\/p>\n\n

Go to Network & File Service<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Then to Telnet \/SSH<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

Check the box Allow SSH connection<\/strong> here.<\/p>\n\n

Install and download Putty<\/h3>\n\n

If you haven\u2019t installed Putty on your computer yet, now is the time to do so. PuTTY is a free program that allows you to easily create an SSH connection to your QNAP system. <\/p>\n\n

  1. Go to the official PuTTY download page via this link: https:\/\/www.chiark.greenend.org.uk\/~sgtatham\/putty\/latest.html<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Choose the right version for your operating system. For Windows 10 or 11, it is recommended to download the 64-bit x86 version<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Download the installation file and follow the steps in the setup to install PuTTY.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    Once the installation is complete, you can use PuTTY to establish an SSH connection to your QNAP system.<\/p>\n\n

    Installing Sherpa for Sonarr<\/h2>\n\n

    If you haven’t installed Sherpa yet, you’ll need to do this first. We’ll do this via the Putty program. <\/p>\n\n

    Now that you have installed PuTTY, you can create an SSH connection to your QNAP system. Follow the steps below: <\/p>\n\n

    1. Open PuTTY on your computer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. In the Host Name (or IP address)<\/em> field, enter the IP address of your QNAP system.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Click Open <\/strong>to start the connection.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

      When you connect, you will be prompted to log in. Make sure you log in with your Administrator account. This is important, as only an Administrator account<\/strong> has the necessary rights to make changes or install software on your QNAP system. <\/p>\n\n

      Now we will download and install Sherpa using the command below.<\/p>\n\n

      Installing Sonarr Qnap<\/h2>\n\n
      Now that you have logged into your QNAP via SSH, you can begin installing Sonarr. To do so, use the command below: <\/p>\n\n
      sherpa install sonarr<\/code><\/pre>\n\n
      Sonarr can now be accessed at http:\/\/ip-address-qnap:8989.<\/p>\n\n
