The name you choose will not affect the functionality. <\/p>\n\n<p>In <strong>Path<\/strong> Select a folder where you want to save your books. This will be the location where all downloaded files will be saved. <\/p>\n\n<p>And then click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"160\" height=\"80\" src=\"https:\/\/nzbusenet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-67.png\" alt=\"Save Configuration Readarr\" class=\"wp-image-52106\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget to regularly click <strong>Save Changes<\/strong> above if you have made any changes.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Create folders for Readarr qnap<\/h2>\n\n<p>If you have not yet created a folder, create it as follows.<\/p>\n\n<p>In your Qnap, go to <strong>Control Panel<\/strong>, <strong>Permissions<\/strong>, <strong>Shared Folders<\/strong>, and then <strong>Shared Folder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Click <strong>Create <\/strong>and then select <strong>Shared Folder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">indexers Readarr Qnap setup<\/h2>\n\n<p>An indexer is required so that Readarr knows where to download the NZB file. If you don&#8217;t have a Newznab server yet, check the list of available servers <a href=\"\">Newznab servers<\/a>. The more servers you add, the more likely your audiobooks and e-books will be found in the newsgroups.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Click on <strong>Test<\/strong>, to see if it went well. <\/p>\n\n<p>And then <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"669\" height=\"344\" src=\"https:\/\/nzbusenet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-71.png\" alt=\"set retention radarr qnap to download\" class=\"wp-image-52119\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nzbusenet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-71.png 669w, https:\/\/nzbusenet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-71-250x129.png 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 669px) 100vw, 669px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p><strong>Minimum age<\/strong> 10 minutes.<\/p>\n\n<p><em> 3000 is more than enough. If you only download E-books, this can be a lot smaller, for example 300MB. This increases the chance that less good books will be downloaded.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Maximum Size<\/strong> A limit of 3000 MB is usually more than enough. If you only want to download e-books, you can lower this limit to 300 MB, for example. Keep in mind, however, that a lower limit increases the chance of missing good books.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Retention<\/strong> The retention period of your Usenet provider determines how long files will be available. This information can usually be found on your provider&#8217;s website. The extensions below are for e-books, while the other extensions are for audiobooks. You can create a separate profile for audiobooks.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>AZW3<\/strong>: This format is specific to Amazon.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>EPUB:<\/strong> This format is supported by most e-readers.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Mobi:<\/strong> This is an older format that is no longer actively developed. If your e-reader still supports it, you may want to leave it enabled to increase the chances of finding your desired download. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>PDF:<\/strong> This format is supported by almost every device.<\/p>\n\n<p>Check the box <strong>UpgradesAllowed<\/strong>. Readarr stops searching once the top result is found.<\/p>\n\n<p>You can adjust the order by clicking on the 3 lines with your mouse. If desired.<\/p>\n\n<p>Click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"527\" src=\"https:\/\/nzbusenet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-77-1024x527.png\" alt=\"set audiobooks readarr\" class=\"wp-image-52155\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nzbusenet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-77-1024x527.png 1024w, https:\/\/nzbusenet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-77-250x129.png 250w, https:\/\/nzbusenet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/image-77.png 1240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Choose <strong>Spoken<\/strong> for Audiobooks if you want to download them automatically.<\/p>\n\n<p>Check the box here as well <strong>UpgradesAllowed<\/strong>. This causes Readarr to stop searching when the top result is reached.<\/p>\n\n<p>You need to check if your device is compatible with these audio formats. Please check the details again in SABnzbd. Here you can select whether you want audiobooks or e-books. It is not possible to select both for the same author. If you want to download both audiobooks and e-books, you will need to run a second Readarr installation on a different port. It is best to use one instance for audiobooks and the other for e-books.    <\/p>\n\n<p>Check the box <strong>Start search for missing books<\/strong>. And then click on the <strong>green button<\/strong> to add the desired writer. <\/p>\n\n<p>It will now automatically search for all books by this author. This may take a while, so please be patient.
