In this tutorial Find password in NZB file I will explain you how to find the password stored in an NZB file.
If your usenet download program cannot handle a password that is provided in the NZB file. Then you can retrieve the password from the NZB file yourself. This is quite simple action.
Right-click on the NZB file. Select Open With and then select the Notepad program.
<head>
<meta type="password">IZ89D2QFHh9V8cS</meta>
</head>
Go to the correct line in notepad.
You will then see the password of the NZB file at the line with password. You can then copy and paste this password.
If you use SpotNet classic, see the Tutorial SpotNet passwords. Then you can also extract the password without opening the NZB file.
If you have a recent Usenet download program then this is not necessary at all. I therefore advise you to use another Usenet download program. That can handle this. Most Usenet download programs can handle this if they are up to date. Some well-known programs are SABnzbd, NZBGet and SpotNet Classic.
I advise you not to use the following software. These hardly get any updates, which makes unpacking difficult. Grabit and SpotNet 2.0. And lesser-known download programs often as well.
