NZBGet Docker Installing for the newsgroups

We are going to install NZBGet Docker on a Synology NAS system. So that we can download from the newsgroups with NZBGet.

Install Docker for NZBGet

We need to install Docker first. If you haven’t installed it on your Synology yet. The advantage of Docker is that you can install just about anything. You are then much less dependent on the Synology community.

Open your Synology’s web page.

Go to the Packe center.

Select the All Packages tab. Look up Docker. And then click Install.

Install NZBGet Docker

Now we can install the NZBGet program on Docker.

At the top left of your Synology, you can now open Docker.

Go to Image. Then add. Add from URL.

Then enter one of the urls below

https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/nzbget This is the latest official version. NZBGet is no longer being developed by its owner.

https://hub.docker.com/r/jscottelblein/nzbget This is the last version under further development by another owner.

Then click on Add. Now we have to wait.

Choose Latest. And then Select.

Select now NZBGet. Then Start. (left corner)

Go to Advanced Settings.

Check the box Allow auto-restart. So that NZBGet will restart automatically if necessary.

Apply and then Next.

Then Add. Wait a minute

And then you can find it at container.

And you can then access NZBGet via http://ip-synology:49160

You can now go to the next step to configure NZBGet Synology.
