Setting up Newsleecher for Eweka

Setting up Newsleecher for Eweka

Start Newsleecher.

Click on ADD Server.

Fill in the details below

Use Encrypted Server Connections ( SSL) : Check
Server Address: news.eweka.nl
Choose Server NickName: Eweka
Bots: This may be a maximum of 50. If you also want to do other things at the same time, such as using SpotNet, you should reduce this number, because SpotNet also uses a connection.

Server Requires Login must be enabled. Here you fill in the username and password that you received from Eweka by email.

If you don’t know that, you can also log in to the Eweka website and then go to Account details. If necessary, you can also turn on Posting. Uploading to the newsgroups. For example, if you want to give a reaction in SpotNet, this is necessary.

Check the Show Advanced settings box. If you want to change the SSL port to 443. This may be necessary if you notice slow downloads or if the default port 563 is blocked.
