With Media Player Classic you can watch video files on your Windows device, and with this program you can also download the desired subtitles for your film or series. We will go into this in more detail in this Media Player Classic Home Cinema subtitling tutorial.
Install Media Player Classic
You can download the latest version of mpc hc here.
Scroll down and choose the exe download. You can choose the 32 bit version or the 64 bit version. I advise you to always go for the 64bit version, most computers can handle this well nowadays.
Click More information.
Click Run Anyway.
Select the desired language.
And then OK.
Select i Accept the agreement.
And then Next.
Click Next.
Click Next.
Click Next.
Select For all users so that everyone can use this program on this Windows device.
Click Next.
Click Install.
Click Done.
Download Media Player Classic Home Cinema subtitles
Now we are going to set up Media Player Classic so that you can download subtitles with it.
Click YES. so you get the latest updates if available.
Go to Appearance. And then Options.
Go to Subtitles and then Other.
Click on Opensubtitles.com Not on the ORG version, it will stop working soon.
Click Ok.
Here you enter the details of your Opensubtitles.com account. If you don’t have an account here yet, you can create one here for free.
The subtitles will now be automatically downloaded when opening a video file if it is found. If that does not happen, you can also search manually. Then open a video file.
Go to File.
Choose Subtitles. And then Download subtitles.
Select the desired subtitle, and then click Download.
