In this tutorial Configuring Qnap Radarr NZBGet, we are going to set up Radarr using the NZBGet program. And we’re going to set up Radarr to download your desired movies from the newsgroups.
Configure Media Management Qnap Radarr
We will be the first to set up Media management. So that, movie files are renamed. Otherwise there is a chance that you will get names like gjjdynfeei495jerhedrer.mkv. This will not always be the case. This depends on who uploads it in the newsgroups. This is done on purpose. So that downloads remain available in the newsgroups for longer.
Go to Settings.
then Media management.
Turn on the Advance settings bar.
Turn on rename.
Take over the settings below.
Standard Movie Format {Movie Title} ({Release Year}) {Quality Full}
Movie Folder Format {Movie Title} ({Release Year})
Import Extra Files on.
Extra File Extensions srt, nfo
Ignore Deleted Movies on.
En druk Save.
Profiles Configuring Qnap Radarr
These profiles make it possible to download the movies in the desired quality. This is different for everyone. Because you have to adjust this to your own taste.
Go to the tablad Profiles.
Radarr already has quite a few good profiles, I think.
That’s why I’m going to edit an existing profile.
Preferred Tags here I fill in x264 and x265.
Beware! Not every device can handle x265! So just fill this in. If you are sure that you can play x265 files. If you watch movies via a laptop, for example, make sure you have installed the latest VLC player.
Set up Quality Qnap Radarr
This allows you to indicate how small or how large the files should be
The above are the settings I use.
The best way to take over this one is to take over. This ensures that you get less bad quality. If you do not download animated series. Then you can adjust these settings a bit tighter. Animation series are smaller in size. Beware! the x265 format is also a lot smaller. You can go from a 10 gig film to a 5 gig film. The quality of x265 file is as good as x264. The big advantage of this format is that you need much less storage space.
indexers Radarr
The NZB files are downloaded from these indexers. The more you add. The greater the chance that your movies will be found that you want.
Go to the Indexers tab.
Click on the plus.
Now select Newznab.
Here you need to provide the data from your Newznab provider. If you don’t already these. Then see the next page NewzNab.
To get good results. You do often need a paid Newznab server.
Specifies the following at Whitelist subtitle tags you languagecode. So for example NL or EN. And hardcodded.
Unless you don’t want movies with ingrained English subtitles. Then you only enter NL or EN.
Download program NZBGet setup
This is the program that downloads from the newsgroups. In this gtutorial, we are going to use NZBGet for this.
Go to the Tablad download client.
Press + .
Select NZBGet.
If you have not changed the users and password. Then this is standard nzbget for both.
Enter the details of your NZBGet. And press Test.
To check if everything is filled in correctly.
Click Save.
Metadata Radarr
You can skip this step if you don’t use it.
Metadata ensures that covers and such are downloaded for your playback device. Zo als Plex of Kodi bijvoorbeeld.
Press Metadata.
Select Kodi. Or any other service.
Check Enable On.
And Save Then
This was the Configuring Qnap Radarr tutorial.
