Radarr Setup Synology to Download Movies with SABnzbd

In this tutorial Radarr Setup Synology. Let’s set up the program Radarr with SABnzbd. So that your movies with SABNzbd are downloaded from Usenet.

Radarr Media management

It is important that your movies are renamed. Otherwise you may get strange file names. That’s why we’re going to set this up now. If you don’t set this you will have problems with other programs. This makes it difficult to find the correct subtitles. Or Kodi can’t find the correct movie information.

Go to Settings.

Then to the tablad Media management.

Turn on the Advance settings here.

Turn on rename.

Copy the settings below exactly. Otherwise it will go wrong.

Standard Movie Format {Movie Title} ({Release Year}) {Quality Full}

Movie Folder Format {Movie Title} ({Release Year})

Enable Import Extra Files. If subtitles are included in separate files, they will be copied along. NFO files can be useful for Kodi for example.

Turn on Igonre Deleted Movies

Then press Save on the top right.

Profiles configure Radarr

We’re going to the tablad Profiles.

So if you can see there are already quite a few good profiles in Radarr. With these profiles, you indicate. In what quality your movies should be downloaded.

I’m going to edit one.

Preferred Tags here I fill in x264 and x265. Please note not every device can handle x265! So fill it in only if you’re sure you can play x265 files. Mocht je nog niet zo apparaat hebben. Then I advise you to take a look at it. Because this saves a lot of HD space. And you see it more and more these days.

Set radar quality Synology

This controls the file size. Adjust this to your own liking. Keep in mind if you set this too tight that not everything will be downloaded.

The above are my settings. You can take over this one. This reduces the download of junk. If you watch animated movies, the format is a lot smaller. And don’t forget x265 files. These are also a lot smaller.

Radarr Indexers

We’re adding indexers. Zodat Radarr kan zoeken naar de gewenste films om vervolgens een nzb bestand te downloaden van je indexer.

On the Indexerstab, go to the Indexers tab.

Click on the plus.

Choose for Newznab.

Here you have to enter the details of your Newznab server. If you don’t already have it, see NewzNab server list. Everything depends on a good Newznab server . That’s why I advise you to get a good paid Newznab server. Or you have to set one up yourself. But I advise against that because you need a very good server for this. And it takes a lot of time. You can use SpotWeb as a newznab server, but it works less well.

Specifies the following at Whitelist subtitle tags you languagecode. So for example NL or EN. And hardcodded.

Unless you don’t want movies with hard-codded English subs.

Download client

Now we are going to set up the download program for Radarr.

Go to the Tablad download client.

Now click on the Plus sign.

Choose SABznbd.

This data is different for everyone.

The APi Key can be found in SABnzbd.

Go to Settings.

Go to the tablad General.

See the API key.

This Api Key is different for everyone.

Download radarr movie information for Kodi or other

Go to the Metadata.

Choose Kodi. Or any other service.

Turn on the check mark Of Enable. And click Save.
