In this Auto-sub tutorial, we will manually install Auto-sub on a Synology NAS. This is because the old way no longer works for Auto-sub. This is because the package source mdevries.org is no longer online.
If you automatically download your TV series with Sickbeard, Sickrage or Sonarr do not use the rename option unless you use rename to scene releases. Otherwise, it is very difficult for Auto-Sub to download subtitles. Try to keep the scene name as much as possible. Subliminal offers a solution for films.
Download Auto-Sub Synology.
On the page below you have to download the SPK file for Auto-Sub.

Auto-Sub configureren Synology
If you have Auto-Sub, go to Configuration and then to Settings.
At Series Folder you specify the location of your folder with series. You can select multiple folders by separating them with a comma (,) so as an example: “/ volume2/tv1,/volume5/tv2,/volume6/tv3, /volume1/tv4”
Copy the settings above if you only want Dutch subs.
If you don’t already have an account for opensubtitles.org/nl/nl and addic7ed.com you have to create one now, these are free. You really need these two because otherwise almost no subtitles will be found and downloaded.
Neem bovenstaande instellingen over en klik op Save Changes.
Je bent nu klaar met deze Auto-Sub handleiding. Auto-sub will now automatically download en subtitles from various subtitle sites. Keep in mind that it can take a long time if you have a lot of series. Because all subtitle sites have a limit on the number of downloads per day.
